A vow renewal tells the story of your marriage so far: where you started, what you have built and what you promise each other now. Children can read, hold the rings or join a ritual.
We love vow renewals, and we have led them all over Italy, from the Tuscan countryside to Venice. Some couples renew their vows together with friends on a trip to Italy, two couples in the same ceremony. And some renewals are a surprise: we have led ceremonies organised in secret by husbands who told their wives they were going to a party, proposed again on the way and walked with them to the altar.

Every ceremony comes with
- A free video call to get to know you and your story
- A ceremony written for you, with unlimited emails until it feels right
- Help with vows, readings and music, with examples to choose from
- Rituals chosen with you, such as handfasting, a sand ceremony or a time capsule – wine box ceremony
- Your celebrant on site at least 1 hour before the ceremony
- A symbolic certificate printed on Florentine-style parchment

Questions couples ask us
Is a vow renewal legally binding?
No. A vow renewal is a symbolic ceremony that celebrates your marriage; it does not change your legal status.
Can our children take part?
Of course. Children can read, hold the rings or join a ritual such as a sand ceremony.
Can a vow renewal be a surprise?
Yes. We have led surprise renewals organised in secret: the wife thought she was going to a party, was proposed to again on the way and walked to the altar. We plan every detail with you in confidence.
Can two couples renew their vows together?
Yes. We have led vow renewals for two couples travelling together with friends, in one ceremony with words for each couple.
Can you lead a vow renewal in Venice?
Yes. Francesca leads ceremonies in Venice and across northern Italy.
Can we renew our vows in our own language?
Yes: in Italian, English, German, French, Spanish or Portuguese, or in any other language with an interpreter.
How long does a vow renewal ceremony take?
Usually 20–25 minutes, much like a wedding ceremony: enough time to look back on your story together and renew your promises without anyone losing attention. It can be shorter or longer if you ask, although we do not usually suggest it.
